DR. PHILIP SCHNEDLER

Dr. Philip Schnedler is founder and managing director of Spinoza Capital since 2013.

Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs in London as Executive Director in the Investment Banking division (2007 to 2013). From 2003 to 2007, he worked for Deutsche Bank as Vice President in the Corporate and Investment Bank division and as Executive Assistant to the CEO.

Between 2000 and 2003 he co-founded and acted as board member of the private equity firm btov Partners AG in Switzerland.

Philip Schnedler holds a master degree in business and finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, where he also completed his PhD in quantitative portfolio and asset management. At the University of St. Gallen, he has been an external lecturer in finance and capital markets since 2002.

BENEDIKT SCHÖPS, CFA

Benedikt Schöps, CFA is managing director of Spinoza Capital since 2021.

After working in equity capital markets and corporate finance at Deutsche Bank (2004 - 2007, 2010 - 2016) and Altium Capital (2007 - 2010), he most recently managed day-to-day the J.P. Morgan equity capital markets franchise in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (2017 - 2020) based in Frankfurt and London.

Many years of close collaboration with listed companies provide Benedikt with a high degree of company-specific knowledge, providing a strong foundation to take sound investment decisions. Benedikt studied at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management - and was awarded a designation as Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA").
